Samsung Galaxy S Field Test Mode

OK, if you want to "Turn on Smart Life" with Samsung Galaxy S, you have to turn on the field test mode first. Here is the secret code to activate the engineering mode or netmonitor of Samsung Galaxy S:

*#*#197328640#*#*

After you enter the code, the phone with enter into "Service Mode".

Most of the netmonitor information can be fo

und inside "Debug Screen".

Use all with caution. Some items can really mess up your phone. Don’t ever click something you don’t know.
Turn on you smart life now!

2013.02.28 Update : Some phone models do not support the function now. You need special application to activate it. Check post Samsung Service Mode for details.

This code works with all Samsung Android Phones, so even with the Samsung i7500 Galaxy and Samsung i5700 Spica.

In generic this debug menu is very similar to the debug menu of other samsung umts phones without Android, like Samsung F490 and Samsung F700 Qbowl.

Hello,

I want to know, how the Samsung Android FTD compare to the Nokia FTD in terms of ability to lock the phone to a cell frequency or scrambling codes, and the ability to lock to barred cells.

Thanks

Hi,
I can't set channels manually.
Can anyone teach me how to lock/unlock to a particular scrambling code/ARFCN using net monitor?
I have Galaxy S+ (I-9001) and i want to use it to test frequency channel on BTS.
